New Pictures of the Boys . . . Picture Overload!

Since I'm back to work now at Sears Portrait I of course had to bring the boys in for their annual birthday pictures. I also like to get them done in July anyways because it's right in between both birthdays with Isaac turning 2 in June and Brigham will be 5 in August . . . I know, I can't believe it either! Anyway so I got a ton of Brigham (as usual) because he is just my little ham for the camera but Isaac is a different story. He HATES going to my work for pictures! I got only a couple of him, which is very usual, but it drives me crazy cause he totally cheezes it up at home for the camera! Anyways you'll notice a few pictures of Brigham posing with some clothes and that's because he was asked to be the model for my work for some flyers and to be put on display in our studio for a clothing drive we're having. I haven't seen the flyers yet but I'll have to get one of course for his scrapbook!

Outside Fun

The temps have been creeping up here in Michigan and we have been spending a lot of time outside. Yesterday I found a little tiny blow up pool in my basement so I blew that up and then we had the sprinker going too. The boys loved it! They rode their bikes and just played and played until I had to force them to come inside. I definitely have outside boys . . . they love their time to play outside whenever they can get it.

Brigham's Eczema Issues

So since it's been getting warmer and we've been spending a lot of time outside, Brigham's eczema has begun to get out of control. Below are pictures of it on the back of his legs and it's really bad like in between his thighs. He also has some on his arms and on a couple fingers, but definitely not as bad as his poor legs. I told him today that we'd have to stay inside cause I'm gonna keep him lathered up with his prescription cream so we'll see how that goes cause he's definitely an outside boy. It's so sad cause he gets so itchy and then they start bleeding and he walks with his legs totally separated so they don't rub against each other. He just wants to stay in his soft comfy feety jammies cause they don't rub on the rash. Anyway, any suggestions are always welcome!

Strawberry Pickin'

This last week I took Brigham to go strawberry picking! It was the first time for both of us and we loved it!! I just couldn't get enough and wanted to keep going and going and find all the great pick scrumptious strawberries! We met our friends there and the kids more or less enjoyed finding a "resting spot" in the strawberry field to eat their strawberries or just sit and rest. It really was a lot of fun and you would not believe how yummy these strawberries are. They taste like candy!! Robert made a really good strawberry glaze like for cheesecake and then we froze a couple bags for smoothies and we just munch and munch on them all day. The morning was absolutely beautiful that day we went and now I can't wait for RASPBERRY pickin' later in the year!! MMMmmmmm mmmmmmmm good!!

Isaac's 2nd Birthday!

It was two years ago today that our little man made his appearance into this world under some harsh conditions, but then two days later we received the phone call that changed his and our lives. On June 6th 2007 we got a call asking if we would be willing to adopt this little 5 pound baby boy and of course we said yes. The first day we layed our eyes on him, when his foster mom placed him into my arms when he was about 2 weeks old, we knew without a doubt he was our son.

Isaac has given us nothing but pure joy and happiness. We would be lost without him and we celebrate his birthday today with a ton of love and are so happy he is eternally ours.

Touch-A-Truck

Sorry, there's lots of pictures . . . but we had such a fun time! This was here in Ann Arbor this past Saturday. It was called Touch-A-Truck, although there were other vehicles there too, but the boys absolutely LOVED it! They could climb up in the trucks, pretend to drive, honk the horns and then in the police car Brigham thought it was hilarious that he could talk on the loud speaker and everyone could hear him. It was pretty overcast and had rained the night before but the breeze was beautiful and made it a great Saturday morning as a family.

This is towards the end when Isaac had had enough and I was on my way to taking him to sit in the van with me while Daddy and Brigham waited in line for the police car.

This picture absolutely cracks us up! Robert and Brigham were waiting in the line for the police car and Robert told Brigham that he was going to be under arrest. This is the look Brigham gave and said he was a good boy and was not under arrest!
